Google’s new ‘Instant Search’ gives us a significant change in how we search for information. Rather than just typing a request into Google, hitting enter, and then scrolling through the list of results, users can now see a changing list of results as they type in their search query. Google considers this an important stride in its evolution of internet search. Google a company that strives to make online search as efficient as it can claims their new system can save between 2 and 5 seconds per each users search.
The internet marketing community, on the other hand, has not been as pleased with its arrival. SEO Experts, who aim to get web sites to the top of the Google rankings, and Pay Per Click specialists, who jostle for their sites to be placed in Google’s ‘Sponsored Links’, have been blogging and tweeting as they are worried about this new feature, some have gone as far to suggest this could be the death of online marketing as we know it.
