Microsoft has launched the first public beta of its new browser, IE9. Microsoft claims that the new browsers speed and safety through new security measures will change users perception of the internet and even advance the creation of a more “beautiful internet”.
Microsoft says that key to IE9 is using computer hardware to increase performance, and decided to demonstrate this by comparing IE9 to one of its rival Googles Chrome. After running the same graphics test, IE9 was up to five times faster.
Though this is supposed to create a better end experience for its users, will IE9 just create another headache for the web developers having to create sites compatible with IE6, IE7 and IE8?
